Jungyo in Autumn finished in Mount Koya (Wakayama prefecture) this weekend.  Kaio spent one night at a temple which is acknowledged as “world heritage” in Nara-prefecture (next to Wakayama prefecture) during Wakayama-Jungyo. He said, “This is my first time to come to this place. I think it is surrounded by great atmosphere,” then, he turned his thought toward Kyushu-basho anew!!  All rikishi congregated in Fukuoka yesterday.  

Banzuke of Kyushu-basho was announced today.

Jungyo

They traveled from Shizuoka -> Toyama -> Ishikawa on this weekend.  It took six hours and a half from Shizuoka to Toyama, which was hard for rikishi because they traveled by bus with tight seats for them. However, the cheers and applauds in each city where they traveled to were great energy for them!!  Kaio, Kaisenryu and Kainohama came back Tokyo late last night.

Kaio spends this week for treatment of his lower back until the next jungyo (Koyasan – Wakayama prefecture) on this coming weekend.  Kaishoryu, Kainowaka, Kaisenryu and Kainohama went to Fukuoka today.  

Hello, everyone.  We are sorry that some pictures had a problem to be enlarged lately.  Now, the pictures are back in normal so that you can enlarge them by clicking each picture.  

Cheerful voice are echoing in our heya, which makes peaceful atmosphere.  

Kaio, Kainowaka, Kaisenryu and Kainohama went for Jungyo from today.  There is Ozeki Kaio; that is why others in our heya can join jungyo.  Kainowaka is getting addicted in his “shokkiri”!! This is the first jungyo for Kainohama.  He seems to be busy because it is his first experience!  Kainowaka said, “it will be a good experience for Kainohama, and he soon gets used to it.”   

Kaishoryu didn’t go to the jungyo this time; instead, he will conduct for their life in Fukuoka from next week towards Kyushu basho.  Kainowaka and Kaishoryu make a good team to make everything is in right order.  Great!

Konnichiwa.   I  really like Tomozuna  Beya.   I  wanted to know why i cannot enlarge the pictures  their really cool.  Is their anyway i can get pictures of  my favorite wrestler,   Kainowaka.  He is really cool in my favorite wrestler.  

The  Asageiko- sumo practice pics  their doing the same thing the others did.  I cannot even go into them a blink page comes up.   Is their way you can fix that to.  I wanted to see them practice in the pictures up close.    

Im in the United states of America.  I’m Gosei  Japanese-American.  In love Sumo cause its a part of my culture.

Kaio also has his exclusive encouragement party in Nougata-city – his hometown.

How every rikishi has been getting along….

KAIO: He has come to be the only one who remains as “geneki (active) rikishi” among 1988union in Makuuchi; therefore, he always wants to do his best as “geneki rikishi”; and now he feel so much more than before.  His soul and body were not united well in Aki-basho.  However, his condition has been getting well and more importantly he is getting cheerful! (He was a bit down when he decided “kyujo” in Aki-basho”…)  He participates “hana-zumo” even only “dohyo-iri”, joins all “Jungyo” in this autumn.  His lower back condition is always concerned; he has treatment for it as much as he can, and at the same time, he seems to have a strong & positive determination for Kyushu!  

KAISHORYU: “In Aki-basho, I was not nervous but was worried because my rank was upper-makushita.  As a result, I lost too many, but I learned something positive.  I do keiko much and want to win more in the next basho.”  

KAINOWAKA: “I got five winnings in Aki-basho and will be able to return to Kyushu-basho with my rank “makushita”.  I aim Kachikoshi in Kyushu as well and want to get a higher rank.”

KAISHINHO: “My eye which I had an operation has been recovered and I think I can participate Kyushu-basho.  I will try my best to go back my previous rank and aim the higher one!”

KAISENRYU: “I will do my best doing keiko and training, and want to be my best condition for the next basho.”

KAINOHAMA: “I had many winnings in Aki-basho, therefore, I want to be confident to get many winnings again in the next basho.” 

We started working from Saturday… There were two Intai-sumo over the weekend.

Keiko is started today.  Kaio is fine beyond expectation!!! All other rikishi are fine as well although some of them seem to have had too good holidays last week…. All rikishi will go to “de-geiko” to Azumazeki-beya from tomorrow.

Today is the first day of “kyoshujo = a school for new rikishi” for Kaisei.  THEN, Kaishinho goes to “Kyoshujo” as a teacher for new rikishi!!!
