Why I choose sumo

I grew up in a sumo environment, which is the reason why I entered Sumo world. (His father is Tomozuna Oyakata.) I thought it was a good idea to choose sumo rather than to selecting other sports, which I didn't know well, and I was physically big as well. Sumo's rules and rituals look simple, but they are profound .... and thus very interesting.

Daily life after practise

• Hobbies: I like most sports. Usually, I try to relax taking a nap, walking near the heya, drinking and eating. I read books, watch TV ... I like to go out to watch movies.

• Ambition: My aim is to continue "Kachikoshi" (winning a majority of bouts in a contest). My dream is to move on to Juryo division. I emphasize how difficult it is to become sekitori (i. e. of the Juryo division), so I say it is my "dream", not my "aim".
